CS Professional

After clearing two levels i.e., Foundation and Executive Programme a student reaches to the Final Level that is, “Professional Programme”. Professional Programme can be pursued only after clearing the Executive Programme of CS Course.

ICSI conducts Company Secretary Examination twice a year in June and December. Students have to register online at www.icsi.edu.

Admission Fee for CS Professional Programme is Rs.12,000/-

  2. Secretarial Audit, Compliance Management and Due Diligence
  3. Corporate Restructuring, Valuation and Insolvency

Module-II

  1. Information Technology and Systems Audit
  2. Financial, Treasury and Forex Management
  3. Ethics, Governance and Sustainability

Module-III

  1. Advanced Tax Laws and Practice
  2. Drafting, Appearances and Pleadings
  3. Electives 1 out of below 5 subjects:

• Banking Law and Practice

• Capital, Commodity and Money Market

• Insurance Law and Practice

• Intellectual Property Rights – Law and Practice

• International Business-Laws and Practices

Examination Fee for CS Professional Rs.1,200 per module. The last date for submission of exam fees 25th March for appearing in June examination (with late fee of Rs. 250/- till 9th April) and 25th September for appearing in December examination (with late fee of Rs. 250/- till 10th October).

A candidate is declared to have passed the Professional if he/she secures at one sitting a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks in the aggregate of all subjects.

Objective

Professional Programme requires the students to obtain:

(i) Knowledge to take the right strategic decisions by analyzing governance facets. Secretarial Audit and Secretarial Standards accentuate the governance platform and compliance management.

(ii) Better strategies both during economic prosperity and recession which includes restructuring strategies such as Mergers, Acquisitions, takeovers, demergers, revival, restructuring etc.

(iii) Working Knowledge about Information Technology Act, Information System, computer hardware and software, database management, Enterprise Resource Management, e-governance and systems audit.

(iv) Conceptual clarity about financial tools and techniques. Knowledge of derivatives, forex and treasury management to enable the students to tackle the practical situation with ease.

(v) Develop high calibre professionals facilitating good corporate governance.

(vi) Expert Knowledge of Direct Tax Laws and Indirect Tax laws

(vii) Equip the students with legal drafting abilities, legal framework pertaining to appearances before various tribunals /quasi-judicial bodies and the basic understanding of the principles of pleadings.

Professional Programme is the advanced level of CS Course where students learn about global topics and learn major professional skills and etiquettes.
